SSMCC trials

Our next trial is our 2nd round of the Club Championship on Sunday July 5th at Lower Darnford. Start at 10.30am. All our usual classes and the separate Conducted route. It is a great venue with brilliant views across the Longmynd and a good long ride round for each lap, so we should avoid the queues. OS Map Reference: SO 417 977 and it will be signposted from A49 at Leebotwood.

Entry form available here.

Longmynd Trophy Trial

Mark, Barry and Spence are on the case of the Longmynd Trophy Trial and already have the route mapped out (top secret, you know but it is different from last year, just in case, you thought you were beginning to get the hang of knowing your way round!) I have seen video footage of one green lane and I have to say, I'm glad I wasn't with them as the camera seems to rotate 90 degrees over some uneven ground.

The date is: Sunday August 9th
The venue is: Church Stretton School
The time is: 9.30am
Get it in your diary now if you wish to be part of a great day's trialling.
If any one wishes to offer to observe for that day, we are always appreciative of your help and support and Denise of Karl's Kitchen makes a mean slice of chocolate cake that is yours for the taking on your return to the school.

Adult trials boots wanted - size 13 . Contact Tom Foulkes on 07946 146612.

Bewdley MCC - Hooper National Sidecar Trial

John Wells has asked me to let you have this information regarding the Hooper Trial.

"The Hooper Sidecar National will not now be held on the 31st May 2009 as Farley Quarry is unavailable to us.

The club is very sorry for this but it was circumstances beyond our control.

The revised date is the 19th July at Coney Green Farm near Stourport.  It can still be run as a national but competitors cannot score championship points.

However we will run the round of the Midland Centre championship along side the side cars on 19th July and the whole event will be off road."

Bike Wanted

I have just been contacted by David Ryan who is looking to get his 8 year old son into the sport. If anyone has a small, suitable bike (eg Yamaha TY80, Beta or Gas Gas 50 etc) for sale at a reasonable price, he would be grateful if you could contact him. David Ryan on 01743 791587 or email david@minsterleyranges.com

Here's hoping someone can get David and his family started in the trials world.
(P.S. There are a few new bikes on the For Sale page).
