The Early
Years
Trials
The club was
founded because of an interest in trials and during the early years
approximately four or five trials were held each year. The very
first trial was held in 1973 at Hillend Farm, Plowden. The trials
were mostly club trials and included the:
Freddie Brown
Trial
President’s Trophy Trial
Secretary’s Shield Trial
Easter Saturday Trial
All Classes Trial
Sam Rogers Trial
A Midland Centre
championship trial was later added to the calendar –
The Dunn Trophy
Trial, which is still held today.
